I’m so glad you’re here!

Hi, I’m Lydia!

I’m the heart behind Film x Lydia, an Eastern Iowa wedding videography service. I’m currently working toward my Doctor of Chiropractic degree at Palmer College, but when I’m not in class or studying, you’ll most likely find me with a camera in hand.

Storytelling through film has become one of my greatest passions, and I feel so lucky that I get to turn that passion into something meaningful for other people.

I grew up on a small crop and cattle farm in Eastern Iowa, where I learned to appreciate fresh air, hard work, and the simple joys in life. I try to live a simple life of gratitude—for the people I love, the life I get to live, and the God who so graciously gave it all to me.

When I’m not filming, you’ll usually find me spending time with my family (especially my sweet niece, Maggie!), at a livestock show, or enjoying the farm life that raised me. I also recently got married in June 2026, which means I’ve now experienced the wedding day from both sides of the camera! I have a whole new appreciation for just how quickly the day goes by—and how meaningful it is to have something that lets you relive it. And I guess my husband, Tanner, is pretty cool to hang out with too. :)

That’s really the heart behind Film x Lydia.

I want to preserve the moments that might otherwise become a blur—the nervous excitement, the laughter, the happy tears, the way your favorite people look at you, and all the little moments happening in between.

Because years from now, I don’t think you’ll just want to remember what your wedding day looked like.

You’ll want to remember what it felt like.

That’s what I want your film to hold onto.

If that sounds like the kind of story you want captured, let’s be friends. :)

The things & people I love.
